With our guidance, you can effortlessly choose the perfect mats, frames, and sizes to complement your artwork and enhance your space. Here are some quick tips to help you navigate the framing process and make the best choices for your prints.
Quick Tips for Framing Prints
1.  To Mat or Not to Mat?:
   - A mat is a border that sits between the artwork and the frame. It adds depth and can enhance the overall appearance of the piece.
   - Choose a mat color that complements the dominant colors in your artwork. Neutral colors like white, off-white, or gray are versatile options.
-Choose a colored mat for more vibrancy.  Start by identifying the dominant colors in the art work, then choose a mat color that is one of these dominant shades to create a cohesive look.  You will also want to choose a mat color that balances well with your frame color.
2. Selecting Frame Styles:
   - Consider the style of your artwork: modern prints look great in sleek, minimalistic frames, while traditional art may benefit from ornate, vintage frames.
   - Match the frame style to your home decor. If your space is contemporary, stick with clean lines; for a rustic feel, consider wooden frames with a distressed finish.
3. Determining Mat Width:
   - The mat should ideally cut into the artwork by at least a quarter inch-2 inches, depending on the size of the print. A wider mat can make a small piece feel larger and more significant.
4. Choosing the Right Size Print:
   - Measure the available wall space where you plan to hang the artwork. A rule of thumb is to leave at least 6-12 inches of space around the print for balance.
   - Consider the proportions of the room. Large prints can anchor a space, while smaller prints can be grouped together for a cohesive look.
5. Selecting Prints for Your Home:
   - Choose artwork that resonates with you personally and reflects your style. Consider the mood you want to create in each room.
   - Think about the color scheme of your space. Prints that incorporate colors from your decor can tie the room together beautifully.
6. Creating a Gallery Wall:
   - When designing a gallery wall, select similarly sized prints that share a common theme or color palette. This creates a harmonious look.
   - Use frames that are consistent in style but vary in color or finish for added visual interest. Arrange the prints on the floor first to find an appealing layout before hanging them on the wall.
By following these tips, you can confidently select the perfect prints and and select frames that will enhance your home while expressing your unique style. Happy framing!
